BC Construction Show: new product spotlight Field2Base tech “worthy of building industry’s attention”
Clancy & Theys Construction Company, one of the top contractors in the United States, was recently awarded first place in The Associated General Contractors (AGC) of America’s Best Information Technology Solutions (BITS) Contest 2005. The competition features the newest technology-driven business applications for contractors across America, and was held during AGC’s 86th Annual Convention this past March in Las Vegas, Nevada.
“AGC of America’s BITS Contest is growing increasingly competitive each year. Clancy & Theys impressed our judges by accurately demonstrating their creative and innovative technology solution to common business problems many contractors face today,” said Dave Golden, Director of Internet Services, AGC of America.
Clancy & Theys, one of six finalists, had only ten; very intense minutes to convince a panel of judges that its technology solution, Field2Base, could transform the way contractors do business. At the end of the presentation judges were indeed convinced that Field2Base is worthy of the building industry’s attention.
Field2Base is a new wireless technology tool that enables field-based personnel to instantly convey project information to relevant parties via hand-drawn sketches, annotated digital photos, annotated CAD files, automated paper forms or combinations thereof. This can be done at a moment’s notice any time of the day or night.
During their presentation, Cutler and site Superintendent, Don Street, were able to demonstrate how Field2Base successfully enabled Street, a veteran field-based project leader, to instantly convey project information to the relevant parties involved in their project. They also proved how the use of Field2Base saved money and shortened response cycles for critical project communications with other members of the design construction team.
“We are thrilled that our technology helped Clancy & Theys win such a prestigious award,” says David Lea, CEO of Field2Base. “It is a tremendous validation of our ongoing hard work and corporate mission.”
Field2Base boasts 8 major features that will save you TIME and MONEY.
