SURREY HIKE
The City of Surrey is increasing development cost charges, which will increase construction costs by $9,000. The costs will probably be passed onto consumers. Increases of up to 77 per cent are also planned for industrial and commercial properties. The rates are being increased, according to city staff, to pay for community services, roadbuilding and sewage.
