Salter Pilon Architecture Inc. wins contract to design Bradford recreation centre

Salter Pilon Architecture Inc. will be awarded the contract to complete the designs for a multi-use recreation centre in Bradford during the week of August 25, 2008.

Located at Holland Street West and Professor Day Drive, the recreation centre is expected to cost $25 million.

The facility will include two ice hockey arenas, an aquatic complex, a fitness facility, a gymnasium and general-use spaces.

The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury is also considering integrating a library into the facility.

Salter Pilon will begin the design process once the official award is in place.

The Town of Bradford West Gwillimbury has not announced any construction schedules at this time.
