Great Lands Global Realty begins work on Mona Lisa condominium
Toronto-based developer Great Lands Global Realty has begun construction of the second of their artfully designed and named condominium towers at Yonge Street and Finch Avenue in North York.
The Monet, the first phase of the development, is a 308-unit, 28-storey condominium building alongside a three-unit townhouse complex. The Monet development is now being occupied.
Lengthy site work and servicing began at the second phase, the Mona Lisa, a 28-storey, 270,000-square-foot, 306-unit building with an additional 78 townhouse units. The development was designed by Paul Northgrave of Northgrave Architect Inc. earlier this spring.
Work on excavation and foundations for the Mona Lisa started earlier this month.
The Mona Lisa features many new energy-saving and environmentally friendly details, such as a green roof terrace atop the adjacent stacked townhouse building.
The green roof features BBQs, patio furniture and a putting green overlooking nearby surroundings.
The development features a grand lobby with a waterwall centerpiece that rises a full two storeys.
