Graziani + Corazza Architects Inc. near completion of working drawings for Aura at College Park

Graziani + Corazza Architects Inc. are nearing the completion of the working drawings for the Aura at College Park condominium in Toronto.

The $200 million two-tower development will be located at 44 Yonge Street at Gerrard Street.

The 75-storey building will house 932 residential units in 1.1 million square feet of space. Retail units will also be included in the development. The 190,000 square feet of retail space will be housed in a four-storey podium that will also include recreational space for tenants.

The 1.3 million-square-foot building will be glass-and-stone clad and will feature a glass-and-steel roof and 15 elevators. Canderel Stoneridge Equity Group, the construction managers, expect to begin looking for sub-trade pricing in spring 2009, close to the start of construction.

The design team for this project includes Halcrow Yolles (structural) and Smith & Anderson Consulting Engineers (mechanical/electrical).
