Flag-person hit on highway in Delta, British Columbia

A construction flag person is in hospital in critical condition after being hit while working on Highway 10 in Delta, B.C.

Last week, a vehicle traveling eastbound struck the 23 year old woman.

She sustained very serious injuries and was transported to hospital.

The driver and lone occupant of the Honda SUV involved in the incident remained at the scene.

He was detained for a period of time, but released pending further police investigation.

Investigators from the Delta Police Traffic and Forensic Section were called to the scene and conducted their scene investigation to determine any and all contributing factors to the collision.
