Outrage over Wood First policy

Re: Concrete industry wants British Columbia’s wood-first policy put on chopping block(Oct. 8, 2009)

The (British Columbia) Liberals have clearly lost their mind in this case. Minister Bell’s comment that he is responsible (only) for forests is ludicrous.

As well, we build very few concrete roads.

While I am employed in the cement/concrete industry, I am not prejudiced against wood, steel or other building products where suitable.

I believe the six-storey wood frame building concept is a potential fire trap and will have low resale values.

If only there was a viable alternative to the Liberals.
