Construction continues on new building at Royal Roads University in Victoria
SHANNON MONEO
Work continues on the four-storey Learning and Innovation Centre being built at Royal Roads University in Victoria. Victoria-based Durwest Construction is serving as project and construction managers for the $15-million project, due to be finished in December 2010.
Built to complement Royal Road’s historic Hatley Castle, the building will feature concrete-faced masonry, strong central towers and punched windows. To preserve the ocean views, the facility is being built to fit into existing terraces and steps.
