'Tis the season

Send us your Christmas crane photos

Modern Crane’s holiday tree hangs from a crane 100 feet above the ground.

A recent story in Journal of Commerce, 'Fewer cranes will light Santa’s path through Vancouver', prompted us to invite you to send in shots of your festive-looking cranes.

The folks at Modern Crane in Niagara Falls, Ont. e-mailed us a photo of their holiday tree (see above).

The tree, hanging from a crane over 100 feet above the ground, and visible from many kilometres away, is 30 feet tall and 22 feet in diameter at the base.

A Ledcor employee sent along photos to show the Christmas spirit is alive and well at her company's worksite at Three Harbour Green in Vancouver.

If you have any current Christmas crane photos you want to share, send them to editor@journalofcommerce.com and we'll put them up online.
