Canada BIM Council nears information exchange agreement with U.S. counterpart

The Canada BIM Council is close to finalizing a memorandum of agreement with its American counterpart, the Building Smart Alliance of the United States.

The council said the agreement will allow the two organizations to freely exchange information, standards, protocols, BIM-related contract language and procurement guidelines.

“We need to ensure that Canada is not duplicating its efforts in a global context,” said Derek Smith, the council’s acting CEO and the executive director of the London and District Construction Association.
