New chairman named for Alberta Construction Association
The Alberta Construction Association (ACA) welcomed a new chairman and handed out a chairman's award for volunteer services at its annual general meeting earlier this month.
Brian Freemark, general manager for Lee’s Sheet Metal in Grande Prairie is the new chairman. Last year, Freemark served as ACA senior vice chair. Colin Ward becomes past chair and Roger Dootson, who is retiring, is outgoing past chair. Kees Cusveller, vice president of business development at Graham Construction, is the recipient of the ACA Chairman’s Award for volunteer service.
Cusveller, a past chair of the association, was also recognized for a number of contributions. These included: his role with the Institutional Infrastructure Partners Committee, which liaises with owners and the design community; authoring the concept for Whole Community development, a revolutionary proposal for a 30 year capital plan for all public sector owners with community involvement; and for authoring and presenting the P3 Lunch and Learn series.
