Site C Assessment joint agreement signed

The federal and B.C. governments have signed a joint agreement for the co-operative environmental assessment of the proposed Site C dam.

The agreement specifies the process for the review, outlines terms of reference and identifies timelines for key steps of the co-operative process.

The project is a 1,100 megawatt hydroelectric generating station on the Peace River in northeastern B.C., which also involves a large earthfill dam and two transmission lines.
