Bentall Four Remembered

On Jan. 7, 1981, four Vancouver construction workers fell to their deaths from the 36th floor of the Bentall Centre Tower IV building in downtown Vancouver, B.C.
Gunther Couvreux, Brian Stevenson, Donald W. Davis and Yrjo Mitrunen lost their lives that day. Victims’ families, construction worker representatives, labour leaders, local politicians and the public gathered for the memorial ceremony to remember the fallen workers and to demand safer work environments.Visit www.journalofcommerce.com on Jan. 14 for a video from this year's ceremony.
