VIDEO: The Canadian Construction Documents Committee meets in Vancouver
The Canadian Construction Documents Committee gathered at the headquarters of the Architectural Institute of British Columbia on January 22nd. The CCDC is a national joint committee of volunteer members who are responsible for the development, revision and improvement of Canadian standard construction documents.
CCDC chair Walter Strachan was on hand to talk to the Journal of Commerce about the role of the CCDC in the construction industry, as well as the progress being made in document development and implementation.
Strachan also explained the composition of the committee’s membership, which includes members of the Canadian Construction Association (CCA), the Royal Architecture Institute of Canada (RAIC), the Construction Specifications Council (CSC) and the Association of Consulting Engineering Companies – Canada (ACEC).
