Historic Facade

A historical facade is propped up as construction continues on the Union in the heart of Victoria, B.C.'s Chinatown. Van-Isle Projects Ltd. is the general contractor and Robert Ciccozzi Architecture did the design in partnership with Merrick Architecture.

The project will re-incorporate the heritage building front as well as bricks recovered from the original 1888 structure.

The development includes two structures with 133 residential units and commercial space at grade.

The project will reach five storeys above grade and one below.

Consultants include SRC Engineering Ltd., Associated Engineering (B.C.) Ltd., Donald Luxton & Associates and Read Jones Christoffersen Ltd.
