Alberta school upgrades

The Government of Alberta is modernizing Okotoks' Foothills Composite High School to accommodate roughly 1,000 students with new facilities.

The upgrades include modernizing mechanical systems to regulate air and improve air quality and electric systems to conform to current standards.

Eight modular classrooms will also be allocated to Okotoks, with 122 other classrooms distributed to other communities throughout the province.

“Targeted upgrades and modernizations for existing schools, in addition to building new schools to accommodate growth, are important components of our plan to make sure students and communities have the access they need to achieve,” Minister of Infrastructure Ric McIver said.
