Island Hangar at Victoria International Airport

In about six months, Knappett Projects Inc. will complete the 215,000 sq. ft. 443 Maritime Helicopter Squadron Facility, located near Victoria International Airport in North Saanich, B.C.

The $103.9 million development includes a four-storey operations and maintenance hangar and related facilities.

Constructed to withstand disasters, the structure is being built on a suspended concrete slab on 1,200 pilings socketed into bedrock.

Stantec is the architect and a consulting engineer.
