| Note: | Project is in the preliminary stage. Owner will phase the project realization. First construction phase is now followed under project report number 9160899. Conceptual planning is ongoing. Site environmental rehabilitation and preparation works are underway and will be completed in spring 2013. The city of Montreal has provided in its 2012-2014 three-year capital plan an amount of $49.7 million for the future Outremont Campus infrastructure and site development works. Owner has expanded the usual planning by undertaking preparation of an Urban, Economic and Social Development Plan of the sector. Sub trades are not being sought at this time. Further update spring 2013.
The project can attract up to $1,600,000,000 of private and public investments. Completion of the first university building is scheduled for 2015. |
| Project: | proposed construction of a new university campus. The scope of the project includes construction of a 70,000 sq m education building, buildings with approximately 1,000 student residence units and 800 privately owned units, 30% of which will be affordable housing units, and mixed-use buildings (commercial and residential) in the south of the Beaumont Avenue, between Parc and Rockland. The project also includes construction of parks with a total area of four hectares. |
