Ruskin Construction gets $3.3 million bridge contract

Ruskin Construction of Prince George, British Columbia has been awarded a $3.35 million contract to build a two-lane bridge on the dangerous goods route in Dawson Creek, B.C.

The project will replace a temporary bridge with a new permanent structure and resurface the dangerous goods route from 208 Road to 250 metres south of the southern approaches.

This section of the dangerous goods route is one of 32 structures damaged by high stream flows during the Peace River flood.

The new bridge will be constructed to a standard that will withstand a one in 200-year flood event.

Work on the project is scheduled to start today and wrap up by mid July.
